Three Things You’ll Find At Adelaide’s Future-Focused West End

This corner of the city hosts a development space for new ideas, a hub for innovative thinkers and a museum that explores the future.

Hybrid World Adelaide’s exciting HWA LAB returns from July 20 – 21 to a new home in the University of South Australia’s Innovation and Collaboration Centre (ICC). In this corner of Adelaide’s west end, you’ll find 20-something entrepreneurs alongside established leaders focused on exploring technology, art and science.

1. HWA LAB

Been waiting for a chance to bring your tech-related idea to life? Participating in the LAB means you’ll learn from world-class mentors, network with start-ups and entrepreneurs from around the world, and have the chance to win a share in $85,000 of SA Government grants. Applications are now open.

2. The Innovation & Collaboration Centre

The aim of the ICC is to support technology-based idea generation and growth for students, start-ups and entrepreneurs alike. The facilities on offer include co-working areas, hot desks, a seminar area and meeting rooms. We bet there’s more than a handful of interesting ideas under the ICC’s roof!

3. MOD.

Adelaide’s newest museum is worth a visit for anyone interested in the future. You can walk through a tunnel of light, talk to an animatronic head and watch artworks come to life using AR. Entry is free to its six galleries that explore where art, science and innovation meet. Read more about our visit to MOD.

Hybrid World Adelaide takes place 20 – 24 July in the city of Adelaide. Apply to the HWA LAB! Applications close May 30.
