Hear about our Tech Conference from returning Creative Director Robert Tercek.
Five-day technology event Hybrid World Adelaide is back for 2018, and we can reveal the first of our Tech Conference speakers. Curated by award-winning author and digital pioneer Robert Tercek, you’ll hear from experts in artificial intelligence, robotics, augmented biology, and space at the Adelaide Convention Centre on 23 – 24 July.
The conference will explore the future of industries and feature an array of local and international thought leaders, including international business leader, award-winning speaker and author of ‘The Finnish Miracle’ André Noël Chaker. André will present a keynote examining what Australia can learn from innovative Finland, as well as how Santa and saunas (yes, you heard that right) make up the formula for success in life and business.
You’ll also hear from Professor Genevieve Bell, a leading technologist and former South Australian Thinker In Residence; the founder of Robogals Global and 2012 Young Australian of the Year, Marita Cheng; and ‘Dr. Space Junk’ and Flinders University space archaeologist Dr. Alice Gorman. Founder of Neumann Space Dr. Patrick ‘Paddy’ Neumann and returning speaker Dr. Phillip Alvelda also join the impressive lineup. And there’s more to come! Subscribe to our mailing list to be the first to find out the full list of speakers, and get in quick to receive a discount on tickets.
Chaker and Alvelda will also be mentors at the popular HWA LAB, which runs from 20 – 21 July at the University of South Australia’s Innovation & Collaboration Centre. Applications are still open for the boot-camp style event bringing together applicants and mentors to develop new projects, products and plans that use digital technology to advance industry. Apply for your chance at $85,000 in grants from the South Australian Government.
On top of all of this, Hybrid World Adelaide’s free Public Program runs from 21 – 22 July at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
